Welcome to The Town of Conklin

The Town of Conklin lies in the southerly part of Broome County and is bounded on the north and east by the town of Kirkwood, on the south by the Pennsylvania State Line, and on the west by the Town of Binghamton. Conklin was formed on March 29, 1824 from the Town of Chenango. Conklin is the largest village in the town and is not incorporated.

The Town of Conklin covers approximately 15,077 acres and as of 2010 has a population of 5,441.

Conklin Neighborhood Mother’s Day Weekend Garage Sale


As a reminder, a Temporary Food Service Permit is required for anyone planning to serve food during the Conklin Neighborhood Mother’s Day Weekend Garage Sale.  Required items for a permit include:


  • Food Service Application for a Permit
  • Fee of $50.00 payable by cash or check
  • Completion of the online Temporary Food Service Safety Class


Application for a permit and access to the online food safety class is available at http://www.gobroomecounty.com/eh/food


Permit applications must be submitted to the Broome County Health Department at least two weeks before the event.  If you have any questions, please contact the health department at (607)778-2847.
